I find comfort in knowing...

Just when I get too secure in my current "plan", life sweeps in and shakes things up a bit to keep me on my toes.

We are moving. Again.

Keane was asked to build the same project he is on now, only this time in Casper. We are still waiting on an exact date, but we're pretty sure the move will happen at the end of September. If you remember, we were sent to the Rock back in April for what was supposed to be an 9 month stint start to finish, but now the owners have decided to build another assisted living center and want the same management on it. We agreed because we are all about saying "yes" these days.

We figure, if an opportunity arises, we'll say "yes" because we believe that God's plan for us is much bigger than any we could dream up for ourselves.

We also believe we are always on the right path, no matter what we are doing or where we are going. Why is this?
Because our current path at any given moment is the only one that exists. Therefore it is what is and it is perfect.

Each experience, each encounter shapes us into the people we are supposed to be. We learn things along the way, meet people who will affect our lives, and make wonderful memories if we allow for it.
If we fight what life offers us, we are only resisting life itself.

I learned from a very wise spiritual teacher once to resist the urge to plan your life. Instead, simply receive God's plan for you.

So, that is just what we are doing. We are saying "yes" and receiving the plan for our lives. I may not fully understand why or how, but then again I don't have to. And that is a very freeing revelation for this recovering control freak.

and so it is...

  1. Well said - "If we fight what life offers us, we are only resisting life itself." This is a profound statement. A spiritual teacher makes the following comparison.

    Resistance to Life = Stress
