I'm so pinterested...

Pinterest is my new found obsession and pinning ideas for holiday decor has become one of my favorite past times.

Although I love the tradition of picking and displaying pumpkins each October, the hassle (and mess) of carving them this year had me wanting to skip the festivity altogether. And maybe it's just me, but I found it hard to justify spending a bunch of money on pumpkins (seriously, the bigs ones are about $15!) that seem to rot within a week after being carved.

So! I decided to try something a little different this year. After coming home from a grocery trip with some smaller, less expensive pumpkins, I used spray paint I had on hand for a different Halloween look than I'm normally used to.

I even got a little crazy and whipped out my Martha Stewart glitters to give some added variety to my very chic pumpkins. (I can't believe I just wrote that sentence.)

::hangs head in shame::

Anyway, I love how they turned out and even better, the paint must have some preservative quality because these puppies have been holding strong for over 2 weeks.

Thanks to the folks over at Pinterest for providing me with yet another form of internet drug which I crave on the daily.

Christmas time just might be the bane of my existence.

Cause of death? Pinning.
