While we were waiting for a table in the busy restaurant, we offered a single man to go ahead of us since there was one open seat at the bar. He gladly took the seat and thanked us. Later in the evening after we had finished our dinner, our server informed us that the same man had picked up our tab, just because! On our way out, we gratefully shook his hand and told him that he had made our night. He smiled and wished us luck with the baby and said he remembered being young and starting a family. He wanted to do something nice for us since we did something nice for him. How sweet is that?! We fully intend to pay it forward in the same manner when the opportunity arises.
We spent Saturday running errands. We picked up baby girl's crib and dresser, tested out some strollers and attended a breastfeeding class where I learned some new party tricks like how to hand express milk! It was a really great class and we learned so much. I can hardly wait to get my hands on this baby!
My wonderful hubby stayed up until 2am putting together the crib and dresser. The next morning, I went in to find everything assembled and stuffed animals lined up in her crib :) |
Our friend Kendal finished up our maternity photo shoot on Sunday with a trip to the mountains. The weather wasn't ideal to say the least. With gale force winds and about 6 inches of snow on the ground, she had her work cut out for her. I hope I don't look like a shivering fool with hair in my face in all of them. We'll see!
I'm trying to head into this week with positivity and excitement. Pregnancy is getting harder and harder on my body (did I mention it feels like I broke my tailbone?) but I have so much to be grateful for. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
xoxo
How sweet of your hubby to surprise you like that. And how kind of that man to treat you both!
