I thought this one was worth sharing...

Guidance
I OPEN TO THE WISDOM OF SPIRIT.
If ever I feel confused about my choices or unsure which path to take, I make time in the quiet for contemplation. I close my eyes to distractions and release any concerns—just as if I were placing my baggage outside the door of an inner sanctuary. With this weight removed, I step into the Silence and breathe.
With my attention focused on the quiet, rhythmic flow of my breathing, I silently repeat the words, “I AM that I AM.” The I AM in me is my source of all wisdom and understanding. It has no doubt. I AM knows only power, light, and infinite potential. My mind and heart open to receive the divine guidance of I AM, which is only a breath away.
My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.—Psalm 49:3

In honor of the fiftieth anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream" speech...

My Dreams
WITH FAITH, I FOLLOW MY DREAMS.
The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Dr. King drew on the power of faith to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. I have within me this same divine power, and I can use it to pursue my dreams.
Whether I dream of writing a book, sailing around the world, or effecting positive change in my community, I, too, must take the first step, even though “the whole staircase” may not be visible.
If fear or self-doubt arises, I go within and allow the presence of God to support me in mind, body, and spirit. One step at a time, my way is made clear. With faith, my dreams come to fruition.
Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob … who keeps faith forever.—Psalm 146:5, 6

Sometimes my brain gets overrun by lists. These seemingly never-ending tasks begin to feel overwhelming and I lose faith they will every get done. When this happens, it's crucial to take a step back and reevaluate what is truly important in life. The carpets can remain unvacuumed for another day. The world will not crumble if my sewing project gets pushed to next week. In those perfectionistic moments, I take a deep breath and decide that life is bigger than any list I may make. I have a husband to kiss, friends to call and dogs to snuggle. I let go.

Let Go, Let God
AS I LET GO AND LET GOD, I AM IN THE DIVINE FLOW OF LIFE.

Chores, tasks, commitments—I always have plenty to do. At times, I may even let my to-do list manage me, rather than the other way around. So today, I take a different approach: I let go.
I let go of rush, resentment, perfectionism and any feelings of insufficiency. Whatever I choose to do, I focus on it with gratitude, aware of the presence of God in this moment and in this work. I let God direct me through each activity with grace and ease, and I experience the joy of giving.
When I finish, I bless what I have done and move on to my next task. I work in this way throughout the day, letting go and letting God steer me from one activity to the next. I am in the divine flow, and I am grateful.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.—John 14:1

Create

I HAVE THE POWER TO CREATE A HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL LIFE.

I am creating my life one thought, one feeling, one response at a time. Creation begins in mind as a divine idea. Flashes of insight and inspiration, dreams and desires, manifest into thoughts and words. As I take action and proceed in faith, divine ideas take form in my life.
Through the creative power of imagination and faith, I use my spiritual qualities and gifts, building a life that is secure, prosperous, happy and healthy.
Whether it is a new career opportunity, an innovative approach to overcome a challenge, or an enhancement for the lives of others, I have the God-given power to create a happy, successful life through the creative power of my thoughts, words and actions.

Get out in the world and create something amazing! Not only do we have the opportunity to make our lives great, but we have the responsibility. No one else will do it for us. Food for thought, lovies!

For real. The Daily Word never ceases to amaze me. There are a lot of changes and transitioning headed our way in the coming months, most of which are exciting but some of which are extremely intimidating. This put my heart at peace.

and so it is, indeed.

Divine Order
I AM IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME.

I greet this day with gratitude for my life—now and in the past—and with anticipation of the wonders to come. Every day of my life is part of my spiritual journey, and I am thankful for each new experience.
In silent contemplation, I become aware of the power within that guides me. My heart opens to the wisdom of God and the perfect order unfolding in my life. Each person I meet, each decision I make, each opportunity I encounter is in divine order. I embrace every development as a gift and move forward with confidence.
Right here, right now, is the perfect place for me. I complete what is mine to do and grow into my full potential through the divine order at work in my life.
Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known.—1 Corinthians 13:12

The truth about my health is this

Last Friday marked one year since I had my spine surgery. Because of this injury, the last couple years of my life have been an uphill battle, physically and emotionally. I'm still waiting for the day when I feel like myself again because although the surgery helped the ailments I was having, I am now left with a new set of issues: an imbalance and weakness in my hips and constant burning pain down my right leg. To say this experience has been trying would be the understatement of the century.

The Daily Word has always been a huge source of strength and inspiration for me. I try to read it each day because most of the time I feel like it was written especially for me. The messages always seem to be exactly what I needed to hear at that moment.

A few weeks ago, Keane emailed me one which brought me to tears. It happened to come on a particularly frustrating day when my pain was at its worst. This is what it said:

Healing
Wholeness is my truth

The truth about my health is this: I am whole. Nothing stands in the way of this truth; rather, I stand in the truth of my wholeness. I align my mind, body and spirit with complete health. I reject activities, conversations and media choices that do not serve my highest good. I focus on Divine Life and know I am whole and well.

Through meditation and prayer, I align with my indwelling Spirit. My daily choices reflect the value I place on the life I've been given to live. I affirm my wholeness with every thought, word and action. I am healthy, whole and complete.

I am going to bring it recovery and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security. -Jeremiah 33:6

This bit of wisdom now lives prominently in our bedroom so I can be reminded everyday that I stand in the truth of my wholeness.

I am certain there will come a day when I'm not ailed by physical limitations. A day when I can sit on an airplane to Europe, dance in the highest of heels and carry my babies around on my hip.

Because the truth about my health is this: I am whole. And nothing stands in the way of this truth. Not even me.

and so it is...

I love this Daily Word from April 15th. I read it while we were in Hawaii and was reminded again that each day is a new opportunity to choose resistance to or celebration of life.

CAPACITY
I am a child of God, with wonder-working power.
As I awaken each day, I can either resist what is before me or celebrate it. I have the capacity to live this day fully and freely as a beloved child of God. I have the capacity to express love, joy and appreciation. I remember the presence of God in me, and as such, my hands do God's work. My mind is open to Divine Mind, and my thoughts are inspired.
Going with the flow, I feel God's wonder-working power moving through me and as me. I cooperate with others and sense our oneness. Problems are no problem! Right solutions come easily as a divine power opens doors and removes all roadblocks. With God in mind, I believe and I receive.
But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God.--John 1:12

IRRESISTIBLE

I exude love of life!
I have been around people whose joy was infectious and irresistible. Today I radiate that kind of joy. I am filled with gratitude for the gifts of life--for the clear blue sky of the day and the brilliant stars at night.
Beauty shines everywhere. I see it in the radiance of a smiling face, the liveliness of a bustling city, the stillness of a walk in nature. I am filled with awe and wonder.
Love for life is contagious. Love energizes me and radiates from me. If ever I am feeling stress, I remember with gratitude all that is precious to me. I love life, and I exude love, joy, laughter and appreciation for all that is.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then it was said among the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them." --Psalm 126:2

FRESH START

I begin anew in this new day!

Now and then life is challenging. I may not welcome challenge itself, but I welcome the opportunity to learn from whatever arises, to grow in understanding, to flex my spiritual muscles!
Every day is a new day, a fresh start. No situation or circumstance can hold me back. My life is not only about what's happening to me; it's also what's happening through me.
The Christ within is my source of unlimited wisdom and creativity. I do my best when I respond to any challenge from my Christ nature, rather than reacting impulsively from my human nature. Every day I pursue what enriches me, enjoying the journey to my goals as much as the destination.
So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!--2 Corinthians 5:17

REFLECTION

I reflect on my past--what I have learned, and what I have created.
As this year ends and a new one begins, I reflect on the events of my past, the lessons learned and the wisdom gained. I see life from a different perspective today than I did a decade, a year or even a month ago. My circumstances have changed, and so have I.
I am continually honing my skills at living a life of purpose and meaning. I think before I speak, knowing my words have power. My actions are deliberate, hopeful and positive.
I reflect on my past and what I have created. As I move forward, I bring with me the best of what was, and I create the best from what is. Thoughtfully, prayerfully and purposefully, I am ready for a new beginning.
See, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare. --Isaiah 42:9

Give Thanks!

From the Daily Word:

GRATITUDE

Divine Love blesses and multiplies all that I have, all that I give and all that I receive.
My heart is filled with thankfulness for the continuous flow of God's good. And while I earnestly give thanks for specific things, occurrences and people, I also maintain a grateful state of mind regardless of outer circumstances.
I appreciate the world in which I live, its wonder and its opportunity. I grow in understanding as I experience all that life holds. The Christ Presence within me is my resource for living each day fully and confidently. It is the original blessing and the underlying foundation for a grateful heart.
My prayer is one of simple thanksgiving. As the great Christian mystic Meister Eckhart once said, "If the only prayer you ever say is 'thank you,' that would suffice."
Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!--2 Corinthians 9:15

I AM

In truth, I AM Spirit.
I know the I AM in me is Spirit, that it is always wise, always well, always rich. So I give up the habit of saying, "I am foolish; I am sick; I am in need." I realize the I AM in me is the I AM of infinite being. It is that within me which is eternal, enduring and constant. It is that within me which knows no change or defeat.
When I say, "I AM," I am not speaking of the personal; I am realizing the presence of Spirit. From the depths of my being comes the voice, "I AM." I recognize it as the voice of Spirit proclaiming the presence of peace, wisdom, love and life. In Truth I am not doubtful or weak, I AM Spirit and have been Spirit throughout all generations. The I AM in me is the presence of God.
Jesus said to them, "Very truly, I tell you, before Abraham was, I am."--John 8:58
I AM whole
I AM healthy
I AM wise

Today's Daily Word is especially meaningful to us during this time of uncertainty. We have been hearing snippets from Keane's company regarding our next move and while we wait to see what life holds for us in the next several months, we release any worries about our future.

Instead, we remain comforted by faith and the knowledge that there is no bad opportunity. So with that, we will keep moving forward, worry-free.

WORRY-FREE

I release every concern and move forward with faith in God.
How often have I spent precious moments of my time worrying about something that never came to be? Worry is a conscious choice, but is it a constructive way to spend my day?
Today I choose to refrain from worry and live in faith. Faith is the opposite of worry for faith allows me to let go of what is troubling me and release it to God. Through faith in God, I experience the joy of the present moment. Through faith in God, I am free from stress or concern.
I cannot predict what will happen to me or my loved ones on any given day, but I can make the choice to be positive and worry-free. By doing so, I move forward in faith, living in the moment and trusting God for right outcomes.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry.--Matthew 6:25

TAKE CHARGE

With Spirit as my guide, I take charge of my life.
I have all I need to create the life I desire through the power and guidance of Spirit within me. I take charge of my health by first affirming the truth of my being: I am whole and perfect, physically and spiritually beautiful. Next I take action in support of this truth by getting sufficient rest, exercising, and eating a balanced diet.
I take charge of my attitude by associating with people who are positive and uplifting and by looking for the best in myself and others. I take charge of my success by accepting responsibility for my life and acting upon the wisdom of Spirit within me.
I take charge of my life by using the gifts of Spirit in life-enhancing ways. Spirit is my guide as I create the life I desire.
You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.--Acts 1:8

RECOVERY

I am healthy and whole and continually renewed by the spirit of God within me.
Prayer is primary to my healing, whether I am recovering from an illness, surgery or even a broken heart. I begin each day with quiet moments of prayer. I give thanks for the life within me. I visualize the healthy, happy, energetic life I desire.
Healing takes time, and recovery takes many forms. A positive outcome will result if I give my body and mind the time they need. Patiently, I pray for the wisdom to know and do all I can to facilitate my recovery.
Turning my attention to the needs of others often helps my own recovery. Volunteering, even in a seemingly small way, renews me. Praying for others helps us all. Each prayer and every healthful activity supports my ongoing recovery.
Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.--Mark 11:24

SURRENDER

I surrender to Spirit and find rest for my soul.
When I am experiencing darkness or difficulty, my belief in the power and love of Spirit brings me comfort and direction. In the face of any challenge, I am never alone. I remember there is value and promise even in the toughest times. During hardship or heartache, I become truly teachable. In the transition from darkness to light, I gain new understanding about myself and about life. I find the strength and resilience to go on.
Resurrection follows a crucifixion experience; a magnificent rebirth follows uncertain or demanding times. As I surrender to Spirit, I am enfolded in love and peace. I am ready to rise to all life has to offer.
Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit." Having said this, he breathed his last.--Luke 23:46

LET GO, LET GOD

I let go and trust the indwelling Spirit to bless and fulfill me.

The wisdom of God is within me. With divine wisdom, I have the power to make wise and right judgments. I let go of that which no longer serves me and treasure the blessings that fill my life with good.

I embrace supportive people, inspiring places and productive ideas. I let go of thoughts, beliefs and situations that are not in my best interest, that tear down rather than uplift.

I release any perceived power I may have given to people or situations outside me. As I pray, I rejoice in the truth that God is my indwelling power. I let go and trust God to bless and fulfill my life. My mind, heart and life are guided by the wisdom of God and filled with abundant treasures.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.--Matthew 6:21

FAITH

I have faith in God, and I am blessed.
Many words come to mind as I try to define faith. Faith is a belief, a feeling, an impetus or an insight. When I have faith, I believe. I believe that I am a spiritual being, that I am never alone, never separated from God. In faith I feel divinely protected and directed. I am led by Spirit along every step of my life's journey.

When I have faith, I am inspired and energized. I experience an impulse to do more and be more--to spread my spiritual wings and fly. Ideas flow freely and easily, unhampered by fear or anxiety.

My faith in God transforms my life--mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Through my faith, I am blessed beyond measure.

Let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith.--Hebrews 10:22
